22 karat is about 91.6% pure and 21 karat about 87.5%. 22 karat is slightly softer and richer in colour, while 21 karat is a little stronger for daily wear.
Which is better for everyday wear, 21K or 22K?
21K is the more practical choice for pieces you wear often, such as bangles, chains and rings, because the extra alloy makes it a bit harder.
