What is the difference between gold and artificial jewellery?
Gold jewellery is made of real gold alloy and keeps its value. Artificial jewellery is made of base metals with a thin coating, and the coating wears off.
How can I tell if a piece is real gold?
Look for a KT mark and a receipt that states the karat and weight. A magnet cannot prove a piece is real, so buy from a shop that explains how it checks purity.
